It should come as no surprise that the Republican women's group in California that distributed this anti-Obama flier are in a bit of trouble. The Chaffey Community Republican Women wanted to convey the message that Barack Obama would appear as a donkey on food stamps decorated with fried chicken and watermelon instead of dollar bills if elected president.

The head of the group, Diane Fedele, apologized and said that she simply wanted to respond to Obama's statement about not looking like the other presidents on dollar bills. She actually said of the stereotypical fare pictured on the mailing, "I didn't see it the way that it's being taken. I never connected. It was just food to me. It didn't mean anything else."
